VETERAN'S AID AND ATTENDANCE PROGRAM
If you’re a veteran or the spouse of a veteran, you may qualify for financial assistance under the The VA Aid and Attendance Pension (also known as the A&A Program). As of 2020, this pension offers a monthly sum of up to $3,032 for veterans and surviving spouses requiring assistance with daily care tasks such as bathing, dressing, prosthetic removal, transportation, and medication management.
How Do I Qualify
Determining eligibility can take time and requires thorough documentation, but here’s what you need to qualify:

Must have served on active duty for at least 90 consecutive days, including at least one full day during a time of war.

Must be 65 or older or have a permanent disability or reservice supplemental security income, or receive social security disability insurance or reside in a senior living community.

Must be bedridden except for medical and therapy appointments and treatments, or have severe visual impairment, or require help with activities of daily living

Have a net worth of less than $123,600 excluding the applicant’s automobile, personal effects and residence.
